On October 4th, 2026, Tito, my great uncle, passed away. Soon after his passing I went on a trip to Lake Ouachita and spent much time reflecting. One day I was out on the water in a kayak with my camera when my mother video-called me. She was at a family gathering sharing in the life of Tito. My aunt went to say hi to me and saw the beautiful sunset in the background. Teary-eyed, she told me "Wow, Tito is up there." I looked up and the view filled me with a peace and certainty. It was as if God sent me a sign reassuring me that everything will be okay. Filled with a sense of conviction, I captured the moment. The photograph is my homage to Tito.
