While I was out on the water with a few friends, one of them found a battered old American flag. We tied it to a broken fishing pole we found on a nearby island and put it on the back of one of our kayaks. After we got back to the island we were camping on, I went out on a walk with my camera. I saw the sunset and the way the light shined on the water; perfectly inline with the kayak from earlier. I used that composition and waited for the flag to wave upright and captured this image.
